I went to the beach in the hope that there would be enough wind to get out windsurfing and practise my Carving 360's, but there wasn't so I decided to set up my wipika instead with the new lines that I bought the other day and make sure it was all set up OK.

It didn't take me as long as I thought to get it set up, and the wind picked up a little, so I put my wetsuit on and went out kite-surfing. There was another guy out body-draggin with a 15m Cabrinha, but he hadn't brought his board with him and apparently cant quite kite-surf yet anyway. Mike also turned up and set up his Takoon Sccop, and then Deek came along and set up his 15m F-One.

I got on OK and managed to hold my ground upwind. I still can't turn, so in the end just blasted across to the sandbank, got off, turned around and blasted back. After a few runs the wind dropped a little and I then couldn't hold my ground upwind. Mike dropped his kite into the water and couldn't water-relaunch it so ended up with a big walk back from the point. Derek went out but decided there wasn't enough wind so soon packed up. I packed up as well as the tide started dropping fairly quickly.

Still, it was good to get back out kite-surfing again. All I need now is a twin-tip board.
